Robert William Lewis, Jr. was born Oct. 3, 1951 in Minden to the late Robert Lewis, Sr. and the late Elena Hampton Lewis in Minden, LA.
Robert, affectionaetley called “Bo Bo”, was a 1970 graduate of Webster High School. After graduating, Robert joined the United States Air Force and faithfully served our country. Upon being Honorable Discharged from the Military, Robert was employed by Dixie Dandy. He was later employed by Kansas City Southern Railroad and Meadowview Nursing Home.
Robert “Bo Bo” Lewis departed this earthly life on May 19, 2015 at the Overton Brooks Veterans Hospital. He was preceded in death by her father, Robert W. Lewis, Sr.; mother, Elena Hampton Lewis; brothers, Donnie Lewis, Kent Hampton, and Ricky Lewis; sisters, Deloice Jean Lewis-Combs and Leisa Lewis Moore; and a granddaughter, Nicolette Bailey.
Robert leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Reginald Lewis and wife, Kym of Topeka, KS; two grandsons, Nicholas Lewis and Ricteryan Lewis, both of Topeka, KS; brother, Grover L. Lewis of Minden, LA; sisters: Cynthia L. Combs(Lee Drew, Jr.), Shirley D. Lewis, and Stephanie M. Hawkins (Randall),all of Minden, LA; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Homegoing Celebration Service for Robert Williams Lewis, Jr. “Bo Bo” will be held Saturday, May 23, 11:00 a.m. at 14th District Building with Rev. Charles Wright, officiating. Interment will follow at the Sheppard Street Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Kennon’s Mortuary. Visitation will be held Friday, May 22 from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 P.M. in Kennon’s Mortuary Chapel.
