Minden will be the site of two nights of rodeo action this weekend as Rodeo Minden returns August 14-15, beginning at 8 PM each night at 415 Whitlock Street.
Presented by Carroway Pre-owned and Brushy Creek Construction, the event will offer rodeo fans a lineup of entertainment and competition, with activities planned for both nights.
The rodeo will feature a calf scramble, hometown barrels, and Spanish fighting bulls, providing a variety of action for spectators.
Preston Bronson will entertain the crowd as the rodeo clown, while Jay Bergeron, a seven-time LRCA Announcer of the Year, will provide announcing duties throughout the event.
The event is designed to offer an evening of rodeo entertainment for the entire family. Admission is $15 for adults and $8 for children, while children age 5 and under will be admitted free.
With two nights of competition, entertainment, and rodeo tradition on the schedule, Rodeo Minden will give local residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy a night under the lights and experience the excitement of the rodeo.
