Sarah Halphen spoke to the Minden Lions Club on Thursday afternoon. She discussed her Roots for Boots airman sponsor program. Their mission is to provide Barksdale’s youngest Airmen with roots in the community by matching them with a sponsor family. Sponsor families are local civilians, guardsmen, or reservists. They currently have 26 Airmen on the wait list needing families.
