Celebration of life services for Roxana Jackson will be held Saturday, Oct. 29, 11 a.m. at the Union Grove B.C. with the Rev. Alvin Shelton officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Matthew Cemetery.
Roxana Jackson was born June 7, 1931 in Webster Parish, the fourth child of eight child born to Webster and Rosie Jackson.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Alvin Shelton.
Roxana attended school in Webster Parish. She was a hard worker that worked various jobs to take care of her family. She retired from the Webster Parish School District after many years of service.
Roxana Jackson departed this earthly life on Oct. 18, 2016. She will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her four children: Carolyn Johnson, Patricia Lasley (Jim), Kenneth Jackson (Shuwanda), and Keith Jackson; three sisters, Emma Major, Lurlene Jackson, and Thelma Jackson; her best friend, Kathelean Jackson; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. in the chapel of Kennon’s Mortuary.
