Funeral services for Roy A. Copeland will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at Minden Presbyterian Church in Minden, with the Rev. Phil McLarty and the Rev. Tony Angell officiating. Interment with military rites will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Roy was born June 28, 1948, in Decater, Indiana and entered into rest Jan. 6, 2015, in Shreveport. He was a member of Minden Presbyterian Church, past member of Minden Jaycees, Minden Lions Club and a lifetime member of VFW.
His mother, Mary Provaznik; father, Joe Copeland; in-laws, Shorty and Pat Long; and brother, Leroy Copeland preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Long Copeland of Minden; son, Tige A. Copeland and wife, Arleen of Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandsons, Gage, Zack and Dane Copeland of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sisters, Margie Gray and husband, Tom of Hunington, Indiana and Julie Boheimer of Roanoke, Indiana; and brother, Joe Copeland and wife, Carol of Valpariso, Indiana.

I worked with Roy at LAAP. We use to call each other cuz anytime we ran into one another even though we weren’t kin. He always had a smile on his face just like the picture above. Prayers for the family.
Mr. Roy was a sweet man. Every time you say him he had a smile on his face. Praying for his family for some comfort.
Roy will be missed! It was always a pleasure to run into him.

Kathy, this is Dottie Adkison we were in ccu with with our mother Sylvia Sherwood I can not get u off my mind we are all still praying for u. Tell Patti and Jan hello for us our mom is in rehab doing pretty good we still stay day and night with her I pray u have gotten some rest we can’t imagine what u r going through just know we r thinking of u and praying for u.
