Funeral services celebrating the life of Sarah A. Minter were held Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church West Chapel with Bro. Leland Crawford and Bro. Steve Gilley officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2024, at Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden. 

Sarah was born September 21, 1927, on a cotton farm in Webster Parish, Louisiana to Fate and Willie B. Almond and was the last of nine children and entered into rest January 30, 2024, in Bossier City, Louisiana. Sarah was an active member of First Baptist Church Minden where she worked many years with Bible school, Samaritan Purse shoeboxes, and also helped getting the Ichter Missionary Home ready. Sarah was a retired branch manager after 40 years of service with Minden Bank and Trust. She was married to Otis F. Minter and had one daughter, Lynda, who was born on the day WWII ended, August 14, 1945. Her greatest joy in her life was her two grandsons, Kyle and Blaine and his wife Kristine and their children, Tate and Natalie. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fate and Willie B. Almond, husband, Otis F. Minter, Jr. grandson, Kyle W. Russell. Brothers, Edward, Joe, Lacyster, J.P., Pat, Marion, and Drew, and sister Camille. 

She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Minter Russell, grandson, Blaine Russell and wife Kristine, and great-grandson, Tate Russell, and great-granddaughter, Natalie Russell. 

Pallbearers will be Blaine Russell, Tate Russell, Robert McKillips, Steve Lee, Mike Jackson, Mike Tolar, Bruce Hock, and Gary Haynes. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Crider, Larry Rhodes, Gayle Blackwell, and Bobby Covington.
