Seeds Women’s Center fundraiser brings community together

by Amber McDown

Community members gathered for a night of bingo, food, and fundraising during the Seeds Women’s Center “Totally 80’s Bingo” event held at the Minden Civic Center on March 6.

The themed fundraiser featured multiple games of bingo, a silent auction, and food from Louie’s Pizza, with proceeds supporting the nonprofit’s services for women and families in the area.

“Seeds Totally 80’s Bingo was a fun night for our community to come together while supporting the life-affirming work of Seeds Women’s Center. Every bingo card played and every silent auction bid helps us continue providing free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting classes, and essential baby items to women and families in our area,” said Amber Bradford, executive director for Seeds.

Bradford said the organization was grateful for the support that helped make the event possible.

“We are so thankful for Louie’s pizza, all our volunteers, the donations, and our sponsors! We are already thinking of next year so get ready!” she said.

Funds raised from the event will support Seeds Women’s Center programs, which provide free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting classes and baby items to women and families in the community. For more information, visit the Seeds website at seedswomenscenter.com.
