Seeds Women’s Center will host its annual fundraising banquet Tuesday, October 6, at the Minden Civic Center, with a goal of raising $100,000 to support its work with women and families in the community.
Comedian Tim Lovelace will serve as the keynote speaker, bringing an evening of comedy to the center’s largest fundraising event of the year.
“Our banquet is going to be amazing this year, like it is every year,” Executive Director Amber Bradford said. “This is right here in your community, so please come help us out.”
Doors will open at 5:30 PM, and the program will begin at 6 PM. Tickets are required for admission and may be picked up at Seeds Women’s Center, 308 Pine Street in Minden. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
Funds raised through the banquet will support Seeds Women’s Center and its pregnancy and family support programs. The nonprofit provides free services including pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, parenting classes, counseling, and resources for families through its baby boutique.
Seeds also works with foster families and others caring for young children, providing items such as diapers, clothing, car seats, cribs, and other necessities when available. Volunteers play a significant role in helping the center provide its programs and services.
Bradford is encouraging individuals, churches, organizations, and businesses to consider attending or sponsoring the banquet as Seeds works toward its $100,000 fundraising goal.
