Shreveport Police to hold job fair

SHREVEPORT — The Shreveport Police Department is seeking to boost its force as it holds its annual job fair this weekend.

The Times reports the career fair will be held Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Shreveport Police and Fire Regional Training Academy.

Police spokesman Marcus Hines says recruiters will be on hand to answer questions and provide insight into numerous opportunities within the department including crime scene investigations, D.A.R.E. officers, police communications officers, jailers, hostage negotiations, lake patrol, mounted patrol, K-9 officers, narcotics, S.W.A.T., community response unit and radar units.
