WASHINGTON — Today, Speaker Johnson announces the winners of the 2026 Congressional Art Competition for Louisiana’s Fourth Congressional District.
2026 Congressional Art Competition Winners:
1st Place: “A Moment at Cypress Black Bayou” by Maycie Howard, Airline High School
2nd Place: “Shining Streets of Louisiana” by Lydia Vaughan, Summerfield High School
3rd Place: “Monarch of the Marsh” by Christiyana Washington, Airline High School
4th Place: “Natural Beauty” by Tori Airhart, Anacoco High School

The Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide, visual art contest for high school students, in which one piece of artwork from each congressional district is chosen by a panel of judges to be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building for one year. The second, third, and fourth place selections will be proudly displayed in Speaker Johnson’s congressional offices.
