SPRINGHILL, La. (October 21, 2026) — The Springhill North Webster Chamber of Commerce celebrated the ribbon cutting for Springhill Climate Control Storage on Tuesday, October 20, recognizing a new local service that is already meeting a significant need in the community.
Located at 200 North Main Street, Springhill Climate Control Storage is owned by Heath and Kimberly Stephens, who transformed an existing building into a climate-controlled storage facility featuring 35 storage units. The facility is designed to provide an energy-efficient, dry, and secure environment for customers’ belongings, with security cameras in place for added peace of mind.
The demand for the service is already evident: Springhill Climate Control Storage is currently at 100% occupancy, with all 35 units rented. This immediate full capacity underscores the need for accessible, reliable storage options in Springhill and the surrounding area, demonstrating how local investment can help address practical needs within the community.
The property also carries a special connection to its owner. Before its transformation into a storage facility, the building operated as a Fred’s retail store, where Heath Stephens landed his very first job at just 15 years old. Returning to the same location years later as a business owner creates a meaningful full-circle moment and adds a personal story to the property’s continued use.
The Chamber’s ribbon cutting celebrates more than a new business. It recognizes the Stephens family’s investment in repurposing an existing property, putting a familiar building back to work in a way that serves residents and businesses alike. The facility’s full occupancy highlights the importance of identifying unmet needs and creating local solutions that keep resources and investment within the community.
The Springhill North Webster Chamber of Commerce congratulates Heath and Kimberly Stephens on their investment and welcomes Springhill Climate Control Storage to the Chamber family.
