Second consecutive year of national recognition
Springhill, Louisiana (May 13, 2025) – Springhill Main Street is proud to announce that it has once again been designated as an Accredited Main Street America™ program for 2025. This national honor marks the second consecutive year Springhill has received this top-tier recognition, highlighting the program’s continued excellence in community revitalization, economic development, and historic preservation.
Accreditation is the highest level of recognition awarded by Main Street America, signifying that Springhill Main Street has met the organization’s rigorous performance standards. These include effective program management, sustainable funding, strong public-private partnerships, and a clear commitment to the Main Street Four-Point Approach®: Economic Vitality, Design, Promotion, and Organization.
“We are incredibly proud to receive this national recognition again in 2025,” said Amie Poladian, Executive Director of Springhill Main Street. “This accreditation reaffirms our commitment to preserving Springhill’s historic charm while promoting sustainable economic growth in Webster Parish. It’s a testament to the hard work of our volunteers, business owners, and community partners who believe in the future of our downtown.”
Each year, Springhill Main Street’s performance is evaluated by Louisiana Main Street, which collaborates with Main Street America to recognize programs that demonstrate significant and sustained progress in revitalizing their historic commercial districts.
Over the past year, Springhill Main Street has made measurable progress in enhancing downtown infrastructure, increasing business activity, and deepening community engagement. These efforts contribute to the broader mission of Main Street America, a network of more than 1,200 programs nationwide that support community-led, preservation-based economic development.
Main Street America programs collectively generated over $6.45 billion in reinvestment in a single year, creating thousands of jobs, supporting local entrepreneurship, and breathing new life into historic buildings—impacts Springhill is proud to contribute to locally.
Looking ahead, Springhill Main Street is building on this momentum with new initiatives to attract businesses, host dynamic community events, and beautify the downtown environment.
