by Amber McDown

Bites & Beats will return Monday, June 30 to Miller Quarters Park. Residents are invited to enjoy a variety of foods, games, and entertainment throughout the evening. The event runs from 5:30 to 8:30 PM, and there is no entry fee.

Live entertainment will feature singer-songwriter Haley Brooke, whose performances blend southern soul with heartfelt storytelling.

A wide selection of food and beverage vendors will be in the park.

New to the vendor lineup is TNT Real Italian Ice, offering a range of cool, flavorful options for those looking to beat the summer heat. Also featured will be local favorites Kim and JD Cottle of Cottle Catering, serving pulled pork tacos with a choice of coleslaw, salsa or barbecue sauce.

Other food vendors will include Corn Dog Queens, Big O’s Down Home Burgers and Wings of Homer(soon to be Minden), Demented Dessert & Coffee, Mi Meza LLC, Bros Lemonade, and Pleasure Point Marina snowcones.

Mi Meza, LLC returns by popular demand, bringing their authentic birria tacos, which have been featured in Taco Wars in Shreveport.

Big Soda Club will make its Minden debut at the event, while Woo’s Daiquiri, a longtime Minden favorite, will provide cold, refreshing drinks.

In addition to food and music, face painters will be on-site offering a range of designs from superheroes to butterflies. A cornhole game will also be set up for attendees of all ages.

Residents are encouraged to bring the whole family to enjoy a night of community, cuisine and entertainment.
