SPRINGHILL, LA — September 2026 — The Springhill North Webster Chamber of Commerce celebrated the 10th anniversary of its 5 Under 40 awards program with the recognition of five outstanding young leaders from across North Webster Parish.
Sponsored by Springhill Medical Center, the 2026 5 Under 40 luncheon brought together community leaders, business owners, family members, friends, and supporters to celebrate individuals who are making meaningful contributions through their careers, businesses, families, and community service.
The 2026 honorees are:
- April Scott — Springhill Medical Center
- Gary Odom — International Paper
- Michael Morse — Springhill Fire District #11
- Ty Caughman — PCI Electrical
- Hannah Caldwell — Ivey Kate’s Salon & Boutique
“This award is about much more than being successful before the age of 40,” said Amber Cobb, Executive Director of the Springhill North Webster Chamber of Commerce. “It’s about recognizing people who are already investing their time, talents, and energy into the future of our community. This year’s honorees represent five very different careers and life stories, but they share a commitment to showing up, serving others, and making North Webster a better place.”
Celebrating a Decade of Young Leaders
The 2026 awards marked the 10th year that the Chamber has presented the 5 Under 40 recognition.
To celebrate the milestone, guests at the luncheon found quotes from previous 5 Under 40 recipients placed throughout the tables, sharing what receiving the honor had meant to them and how the recognition had impacted their lives and careers.
The reflections served as a reminder of the lasting legacy of the program and the many young professionals, entrepreneurs, volunteers, and community leaders who have been recognized over the past decade.
This year’s honorees continue that tradition.
April Scott, a Family Nurse Practitioner with Springhill Medical Center, has built her career around caring for others while also investing in the health and development of young people. Her community involvement includes coaching youth, providing sports physicals, mentoring young women, participating in breast cancer awareness events, and supporting local schools.
Gary Odom, with International Paper, has dedicated significant time to youth athletics and recreation, including coaching baseball and flag football and serving with local parks and recreation. His commitment to young people and families extends beyond the playing field through his continued volunteer service and leadership in the community.
Michael Morse, Fire Chief of Springhill Fire District #11, began serving as a Junior Firefighter at age 14. Since then, he has continued to grow in his commitment to public safety and community service. During his leadership, the department has expanded its membership, strengthened its training and emergency response capabilities, and improved its fire insurance classification.
Ty Caughman, an Instrumentation Professional with PCI Electrical and a bi-vocational Youth Pastor, has combined professional achievement with a deep commitment to serving young people. His journey includes earning his instrumentation degree while balancing work and ministry and continuing to mentor and guide the next generation through his church and community involvement.
Hannah Caldwell, owner of Ivey Kate’s Salon & Boutique and Ivey Kate’s Event Room, has built businesses that serve not only her customers but also other local entrepreneurs and community members. Through her businesses and events, she creates opportunities for connection, collaboration, and support among local businesses and women throughout the community.
Together, the five honorees represent the spirit of the 5 Under 40 program: young people who are building careers, serving others, investing in their communities, and helping shape the future of North Webster.
The Springhill North Webster Chamber of Commerce congratulates the 2026 5 Under 40 honorees and extends its appreciation to Springhill Medical Center for sponsoring the program and supporting the recognition of the next generation of North Webster leaders.
