The Springhill North Webster Chamber of Commerce has been awarded a $5,000 grant from Keep Louisiana Beautiful (KLB) as part of its 2025 Clean Biz Chamber Grant initiative, emphasizing local litter prevention efforts. The grant is one of 25 awarded to chambers of commerce and community affiliates across 19 parishes, totaling $125,000.

The funding will support the Springhill North Webster Chamber’s efforts to recruit new Clean Biz partners, promote the Clean Biz Partnership program, and encourage local businesses to maintain litter-free and well-maintained spaces.

“These grants will give KLB’s Community Affiliates and partner chambers of commerce the support they need to implement outcome-based litter prevention programs on the local level,” said Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser. “It takes all of us working together to make a dent in our state’s litter problem. I want to thank everyone who has rolled up their sleeves to clean up Louisiana.”

Susan Russell, KLB Executive Director, added, “KLB provides tools and resources to support clean and beautiful communities. We are pleased to provide these grants and look forward to seeing the lasting impact they’ll have.”

The Springhill North Webster Chamber joins other recipients across the state in promoting KLB’s initiatives, including Love the Boot Week, the Let Louisiana Shine campaign, and youth educational programs. In addition, the grants encourage efforts such as Get Down & Clean Up and Put the Brakes on Litter campaigns.

The Clean Biz Chamber Grant awards $5,000 to each recipient chamber, while the Community Affiliate Program Grant provides the same amount to participating affiliates. Both programs aim to foster partnerships with businesses, stakeholder organizations, and community members to reduce litter and improve local environments.

The Springhill North Webster Chamber’s participation highlights Webster Parish’s dedication to maintaining a clean and welcoming community, showcasing the impact of local efforts on statewide litter prevention.
