Students from Doyline High School toured Sanders Machine, getting a look at the equipment used today, safety guidelines and what it takes to make the parts they manufacture.
The idea behind the event is to show what modern manufacturing facilities are really like, what the companies make and who they sell to, what kinds of jobs are available in manufacturing and what skills and education are needed.
