SHREVEPORT — Police in Shreveport say a suspect has been arrested in a shooting that took place early Monday near a night club.

Investigators tell KSLA-TV that 26-year-old Michael Falcon was booked with attempted second-degree murder.

Police were called to the scene at the corner of Commerce and Travis streets around 2 a.m.

They say they found 25-year old Malcolm Perry in a nearby parking lot with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Perry was taken to a local hospital and his wounds were described as not life-threatening.

Falcon was arrested a short time later.

It was not immediately clear whether he has an attorney.
