SHREVEPORT, LA. – The Louisiana Rodeo Cowboys Association (LRCA) Finals Presented by Hebert’s Town & Country and Shreveport- Bossier Sports Commission are returning to the State Fair of Louisiana and will take place in Hirsch Colisum. The top cowboys and cowgirls of the LRCA will be competing for the championships of the LRCA Finals. LRCA Finals events include Bareback, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Saddle Bronc, Tie Down Roping, Barrel Racing, Breakaway Roping & Bull Riding. Daily awards will also be presented following each rodeo on the rodeo stage in front of Hirsch Colisum.
This year the State Fair LRCA Rodeo dates are Saturday, November 1st and Sunday, November 2nd. The Rodeo times are as follows:
Saturday, Nov. 1st Matinee at 1:00pm, doors open at noon
Saturday, Nov. 1st Evening at 7:00pm, doors open at 6:00pm
Sunday, Nov. 2nd Afternoon at 3:00pm, doors open at 2:00pm
T.C. Long will be behind the microphone this year calling the action of the rodeo. Long has announced events such as the RAM Texas Circuit finals, United Finals Rodeo, and All-American Pro Rodeo Finals. We are excited to have him back. Joining T.C. behind the mic will be none other than Louisiana’s Andy Stewart. Stewart has announced the NFR along with prestigious rodeos across the United States like the Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo.
Returning this year as a rodeo clown will be Rudy Burns, known for being one of the top rodeo clowns in the country. Also returning is Dusti Dickerson with her incredible horse-trick riding show. Dusti has earned the reputation of being one of the most talented and respected performers in professional rodeo.
