Funeral services for Timothy E. “Tim” Whitfield were at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, with the Rev. Carolyn Michael officiating. Interment followed at Gardens of Memory in Minden. The family received friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Tim was born Nov. 28, 1940, in Honolulu, Hawaii and entered into rest Jan. 29, 2015, in Minden.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Essie M. Whitfield; father, Charles L. Whitfield; sister, Carol Whitfield; and brother, Charles Whitfield.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Whitfield of Minden; sons, Tim E. Whitfield Jr. of Minden and Stephen G. Whitfield of Minden; daughters, Sheri Whitfield and fiance Kelly Salter of Minden and Tonya Edwards and husband, Channon of Magnolia, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and many extended family members.
