Minden Police and the Office of Probation and Parole went to a Shreveport Road residence to serve an outstanding warrant, which ended in the arrest of two men.

Williams
Heath Logan Williams, aka “Ricky Bobby,” 27, of the 1400 block of Shreveport Road, was arrested Thursday, Jan. 21, for possession of Schedule II CDS (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule I CDS (synthetic marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia. A hold was also placed on him by Probation and Parole.
Steve A. Studdard, 23, of the 11,000 block of Highway 80 in Dixie Inn, was arrested Thursday, Jan. 21, for possession of Schedule III CDS (hydrocodone) with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. A hold was also placed on him by Probation and Parole.

Studdard
Minden Police Chief Steve Cropper says Capts. Daniel Weaver and Marvin Garrett, along with Lt. Wayne Young, Officer First Class Kenny James, Officer Antonio Mims and Nancy Blanchard, of Probation and Parole, went to the Shreveport Road residence to serve an outstanding probation warrant on Williams.
He says Weaver and Garrett went behind the residence to make sure no one came out of the back door, and discovered the two hidden underneath a storage shed.
The chief says Williams was immediately placed under arrest.
Police learned he was in possession of about one and a half grams of suspected methamphetamine with a street value of about $150, synthetic marijuana and cigarette papers believed to be used for smoking the synthetic marijuana.
“Studdard was asked if he had any illegal narcotics on his person, and he said he had some Lortabs in the pocket of the coat he was wearing,” he said. “Studdard had six hydrocodone, Schedule III narcotic pills in his pocket along with two syringes.”
Studdard was placed under arrest and both were transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
