Members of Unity Baptist Church, along with members of other area churches, walked just over a mile through the streets of Cotton Valley carrying a 12-foot cross for its inaugural Walk for Jesus.
Church member Tracy Bramlett says the goal of the Walk for Jesus event was show that churches in the area are still active.
“We’re hoping to have activities that will help bring unity in the community and show that churches in the area are still active and share the Gospel,” he said.
Bramlett says the church plans to have another walk in the fall once cooler weather arrives.
