Voter League uniting minorities

by Minden Press-Herald

During the early part of 2015, Darrel Banks called together a group citizens within Webster Parish to form the Webster Unity Minority League.

The purpose of the Webster Parish Minority Voters League is to unify the minority community by organizing and recruiting new members from within the parish to maintain and control our community’s political future. We want to ensure our voices are heard.

Any minority who is 18 years of age and a registered voter may be eligible for membership of the organization at the discretion of the advisory board.

Members can be rejected by the executive board of the organization. The group meets at the B.F. Martin life Center on the second and fourth Monday of each month.
