Webster elected and appointed officials

by Minden Press-Herald

Election time we see and hear “big promises” from those who want change and what they will do if elected.  Being elected is based on your proposals, character, honor, past experiences, and integrity.  Those traits are respected and expected if you happen to be elected.  Sadly, respect and expectation are soon forgotten.  When called, you’re out of the office or can’t take a call.  Leaving a message is futile.  Responding, I didn’t get the message or no response at all.  Days, Weeks, Months go by and never a word.  The Citizen comes to your office to speak directly to you on many different occasions and you do nothing.  Saying you will get back to them is a bald face lie because, you never do.

I Promise to work “against” you, next election.  If you’re guilty, this applies directly to you.  Most recently, a request was made by you for a Salary increase.  If anything, you deserve a decrease, for not doing your job.  Honor, respect, duty, integrity are words lived, not spoken.  “Semper fidelis” does not apply to you.
