Webster Football teams to play at home

by Minden Press-Herald

Week one road trips were kind to the Minden Crimson Tide and North Webster Knights, while Lakeside dropped their opener to Ringgold and the Glenbrook Apaches were taken down on the road as well.
This week, all four Webster Parish schools will be back at home for big games, giving football fans plenty of options for Friday night. Let’s briefly recap this week’s action and take a look at what’s to come.

Minden High

The Crimson Tide offense was sluggish against Southwood in a 17-0 win. They will have to turn it up a notch to beat Haughton this week at The Pit in a rivalry game.

Glenbrook

The Apaches fell on the road to Greenville Christian, 41-2. Glenbrook will aim to get back on track with a win at home this week against district foe Prairie View Academy.

Lakeside

The Warriors didn’t show much in a 50-6 loss to Ringgold. Maybe a home game will get Lakeside on track, as they host Plain Dealing Friday night in Sibley.

North Webster

The Knights picked up a huge road win at Haynesville, beating the Golden Tors 34-13. They will try and keep the good times rolling this week as they host the Homer Pelicans in Springhill.
