Webster Parish Clerk of Court recruiting election poll workers

The Webster Parish Clerk of Court is seeking election poll workers to serve during upcoming elections. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a registered voter.
  • Be available to work from approximately 5 AM to 9 PM on election day.
  • Be able to vote without assistance.
  • Be willing to serve in any precinct within the parish.
  • Not be a law enforcement officer.

Compensation for each election worked is $200, and workers are selected by random drawing. To become a certified election worker, candidates must attend one of the training classes and pass a short, open-book test. Training sessions will be held on:

  • Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 5:00 PM at the Minden Civic Center.
  • Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 5:00 PM at the Springhill Civic Center.
