On June 26, Webster Parish Libraries held a celebration for Ms. Barbara Lee in honor of her retirement after 17 years of service. Ms. Lee, who retired from her position as human relations coordinator, was praised for her contributions and impact on the library system.

Library Director Savannah Jones expressed her gratitude and admiration, saying, “I think Barbara Lee has been a light for all of us at one point in our career. The library without Barbara will not be the same place. Today will be a day for smiles, tears, hugs, and laughter as we say farewell to a coworker who not only made great contributions to our system but also left her mark on all of us as individuals. As we reflect on Barbara Lee’s years of service, let us not forget to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter — her new chapter — filled with endless possibilities.”

Ms. Lee received a plaque to commemorate the occasion, marking the end of her significant tenure with Webster Parish Libraries.
