Webster Parish principals engaged in intensive training yesterday as part of their preparation for the upcoming implementation of the Louisiana Educator Rubric. This training session, marked a significant step towards adopting a new evaluation system for the 2024-25 school year.
Led by experienced facilitators, the training provided principals with a comprehensive overview of the Louisiana Educator Rubric and its application in assessing teacher performance. The rubric serves as a tool to evaluate various aspects of teaching effectiveness, including instructional delivery, classroom management, and student engagement.
Throughout the day-long session, participants delved into the intricacies of the rubric, exploring its different domains and performance levels. They engaged in interactive discussions, analyzed case studies, and practiced applying the rubric to hypothetical teaching scenarios.
