Webster Parish schools hosting fun day for students with special needs

by Minden Press-Herald

The Webster Parish Adapted Physical Education and Physical Therapy staff, in collaboration with the Special Education Department, is organizing a fun day for students with special needs. This second annual event aims to create opportunities for these students to interact with their peers while engaging in cooperative games alongside others with similar disabilities.

The event, titled S.A.I.L. into Spring (Students Achieving, Interacting, and Learning), will be held on Friday, March 22 for the students in the south end of the parish, while north end schools will participate on Friday, April 12.

Organizers are seeking financial contributions to ensure the success of the event. The funds will be used to provide each participant with a t-shirt, an award medallion, and necessary supplies.

“Our kids have a blast, and it is definitely a fun day for all!” stated Joy Thomas on social media.
