As the 2024-25 school year comes to a close, Webster Parish School Superintendent Johnny Rowland expressed gratitude and excitement in a statement recognizing the district’s graduates and community.
“The end of a school year, while an extremely busy time, can be very exciting,” Rowland said. “I have been reminded of this as I’ve had or will have the privilege of attending graduation exercises at each of our 4 high schools.”
Rowland described the emotional atmosphere at the ceremonies, highlighting the visible pride of students and the joy shared by families, friends, and school personnel.

“The look of pride and accomplishment beams from the faces of the graduates as they receive their diplomas,” he said. “The happiness and joy from family members and friends fills the air at each venue. School administration and staff share in this excitement as they too celebrate the successes of each senior class.”
Rowland also acknowledged the dedication of educators and parents, thanking them for their role in student achievement.

“Knowing you had a positive influence in the lives of your students can be deeply rewarding for educators,” he said. “On behalf of the Webster Parish School Board, we say THANK YOU to all students, school staff members, and parents for working together to make the 2024-25 school year a success.”
Rowland concluded his message with well wishes for a safe and enriching summer and said the district looks forward to welcoming students back in August.
