Woman arrested after trespassing incident, provides multiple false identities

by Minden Press-Herald

A 19-year-old woman was arrested late Monday night after officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 800 block of Lewisville Road, according to the Minden Police Department.

At approximately 11:30 PM on July 7, dispatch received a call from a resident who observed a female on security footage tampering with personal property outside the home. The subject was described as a younger woman wearing a pink shirt and blue jeans.

Upon arriving in the area, an officer located a barefoot female matching the description walking on Lewisville Road toward Main Street. The subject was carrying a red and white pillow with birds embroidered on it.

When stopped, the woman — later identified as Jada Carley, 19 — appeared to be under the influence of an unknown narcotic. When asked if she was from the area, Carley responded that she was “from Earth” and pointed toward a nearby church. She initially provided a false name and date of birth and continued giving inconsistent names, including “Angelica Cartwright,” “God,” “Us,” “We,” “Jaju,” and eventually admitted “Jada,” claiming at one point to be “channeling” her mother.

After officers from the original scene confirmed the pillow in Carley’s possession belonged to the complainant, she was taken into custody for resisting an officer and criminal mischief. Due to her refusal to properly identify herself, she was transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center for fingerprinting, which yielded no results.

Carley was then transported to the Minden Police Department and booked under the name “Jane Doe.” During a follow-up interview, she provided a cell phone number, which was linked to a Cash App account under the name “Jada Carley.” A subsequent search in department records confirmed her identity.

Carley was later transported back to BDCC due to her inability to post bond.

All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
