In early November, Joshua Blackwell, 18, along with two juveniles, male and female, were arrested for criminal conspiracy to commit 2nd Degree Murder. Webster Parish Sheriff deputies got involved after responding to a 911 call in reference to a female who had been assaulted.
“Upon deputies arrival, they were notified by National Guard personnel at the front gate of Camp Minden that a female had driven to the gate bleeding from her head. The victim stated she had been assaulted by her adopted female juvenile,” the arrest report read.
“Guard personnel stated the juvenile then walked up stating she tried to kill her mother because she is bipolar and schizophrenic.”
The group’s plan was for the female juvenile to strike the mother in the head with a brick with the two male subjects stabbing and cutting her till she died. They were all riding together in a truck with the mother driving, and after arriving at their destination, “the female began striking the victim in her face and head area with a brick and continued striking her until she was able to choke the victim unconscious. The female juvenile yelled several times to the male subjects to bring their knives and stab her but the male subjects fled the scene,” the report read.
After fleeing the scene, one of the male subjects placed a call to 911 to report the incident giving a false name. Both the male subjects were later located, and along with the female juvenile.
The two juveniles were transported to Ware Detention Center, and Joshua Blackwell was booked at BDCC.
