Grambling State enters the 2024 Southwestern Athletic Conference tournament as the second seed and will open play versus No. 7 Florida A&M at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Bartow Arena in Birmingham, Ala.
GSU wrapped up the regular season with a 21-8 overall record and a 15-3 mark in conference play. It marked the first time since the 2002-03 season that the Lady Tigers won 20 games in a season.
Grambling State and Florida A&M met twice in the regular season with the Lady Tigers winning both contests. GSU outlasted FAMU 88-85 in three overtimes in Tallahassee, Fla. on Jan. 15. In the second meeting on March 2, the Lady Tigers beat the Rattlers 65-54.
Wednesday’s game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
