The recipient of the Employee of the Month for the Webster Parish School Board during their monthly meeting for December was Ametrica Jones, a teacher at North Webster Upper Elementary School. The award was presented by Kevin Thompson of Taylor and Sons.
“Mrs. Jones always goes above and beyond for her students and coworkers. She always takes the initiative by finding fun and creative ways to promote a positive learning environment, one example is her Wacky Wednesday,” said Thompson.
“I view Mrs. Jones as my mentor. She played an important role in welcoming me and guiding me into the teacher I am today. She is one of the most organized and hard-working people I know. She shows acts of kindness to teachers by giving small gifts to remind them they are very important.”
