WPSO arrests kidnapper who assaulted victim

by Minden Press-Herald

The Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office this week arrested a kidnapper named Tommy Hawthorne, 54, who held a woman against her will, as well as physically and sexually assaulting their victim.

“She was held against her will,” the booking report read. “The above subject hit her numerous times in her back and cut her face with a knife. She advised that he would not let her leave.”

After this heinous crime was reported to the WPSO, a deputy was dispatched to Hawthorne’s residence where the incident took place.

“I spoke with the suspect and he gave consent to take a look around his home, at which time I noticed a lot of blood all over the apartment. After the investigation, I advised the subject he was being arrested for the above-mentioned charge,” the report read.

“The above subject did show me videos in his phone where the complaint was sitting in a wheelchair in the nude covered in blood as she asked for her clothes. He ripped her pants and underwear off of her and forced her to have intercourse with him.”

Hawthorne was arrested and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Facility and was charged with second-degree kidnapping.
