On July 31, 2016, God called one of his children home. A.C. Douglas passed peacefully from this life that evening after a gradual decline in health. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family during the last days of his life. A.C. was born in Haughton on June, 30, 1930 to Ardis and Bertha Lee Douglas. A.C. was the oldest of the 11 children that were born.

Over 30 years, A.C. worked for the Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant to support his family.
At an early age, A.C. united with Christ at Camp Zion Baptist Church. He was a faithful singer in the Choir.
