Funeral services for David Holliday Sr. will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at St. Rest Baptist Church located at 611 East Union, with Bro. B.J. Martin delivering a eulogy.
Family hour will be from 6 until 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at Miller-Pioneer Funeral Home located at 400 East Union St.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to B.F. Martin Community Life Center, St. Rest Baptist Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice in the memory of David Holliday Sr.

David was one fine man and also a part of the Webb, Hutton, Rathbun, and Sentell families as far back as the time of my great grandfather. I’ve often called him my surrogate father because of the relationship we had when I was a young child. I’m glad I had the privilege knowing him and was able to enjoy being at his home talking about his experiences with many of my relatives and family members several times before he passed.
A CHRISTIAN MAN AND A FINE ELECTRICIAN
Dwayne and I were so saddened to learn of David’s passing. We just recently heard about it and we are so sorry that we didn’t get to attend his funeral. He was a true gentleman, a fine Christian and just all around good guy. David was very humble man who loved his family and I know that they, along with his many friends will miss him. Rest in peace, good and faithful servant of the Lord. We’ll see you again one day!
