Lady Apaches down Lady Lions, 11-1

The Glenbrook Lady Apaches continue to roll through their district schedule as they topped Union Christian Academy 11-1 Tuesday night, moving their district mark to 4-0.

“The girls did a great job tonight,” Lady Apache head coach Roo Johnson said after the game. “They’re really beginning to jell well with each other, which is great since we’re getting to this part of the season.”

The Lady Apaches jumped on the Lady Lions early and never looked back, totaling 10 hits and only committing one error behind starter Alyssa Martin who pitched all 5 innings, allowing 6 hits, striking out 3 batters and allowing just one run.

Martin also led Glenbrook at the plate going 2-3 with 2 singles and 3 RBIs. Hannah Mosley finished 3-3 with a double and 2 singles to go with 1 RBI, followed by Aubrie Dickson’s 2-3 night with 2 singles and an RBI.

Megan Sims, Kara Bryce and Reese Hanson added base hits for Glenbrook, while Faith Earnhardt and Emma Pitman came through with RBIs for the Lady Apaches.

Glenbrook’s next contest is Thursday at home against the Tallulah Lady Trojans at 7 p.m.
