To the children of Webster Parish, both young and old:
Santa has a lot to do this time of year, making toys and plotting flight plans with Rudolph and the other reindeer. Even so, he still needs to know what presents you want for Christmas.
“There are now more than seven billion people in the world,” Santa said. “That is a lot of presents. The elves and I are extremely busy up here at the North Pole.
“I can truly use your help at Minden Press-Herald. It is important I hear from each and every child, and I’m counting on your assistance.”
Santa asked us to help with his mail, so send your Santa letter to us, and we will be sure he receives it in time. Letters will also be printed in the newspaper.
He said he would love to hear what presents you want this year. He would also enjoy hearing what you like about Christmas, and what it means to you and your family.
You may have a true story to share with Santa about a special Christmas, or you may have made up your own fictional story about Christmas. Whatever the case, Santa wants to read about it.
“It makes this busy season worthwhile when I read the letters children send to me,” Santa said. “This is very hard work, but it is good and satisfying work when I get to see the joy in people’s hearts as they enjoy the spirit of the season.”
We need to receive your letter no later than Wednesday, Dec. 16. Letters may be emailed to [email protected], faxed to 377-1895 or brought in to our offices, on paper or CD, at 203 Gleason St in Minden.
