Funeral services for Mr. Roosevelt Kinsey Jr. will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 23 at Union Grove B.C. with the Rev. Alvin Shelton, officiating. Interment will follow at the Pringer Place Cemetery.

Roosevelt Kinsey Jr. was born Sept. 7, 1929 to the late Roosevelt and Mattie Odom Kinsey.

He was the second of six children born to this parentage.

He accepted Christ as his personal Saviour at an early age and united with the Union Grove Baptist Church.

Roosevelt Kinsey Jr. faithfully served in the United States Army and received a honorable discharge.

He united in Holy Matrimony to Minnie Rice. Roosevelt Kinsey Jr. was employed by KCS Railroad for over 40 years. Jr. Kinsey, as he was affectionately called, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Fishing was also a favorite hobby.

He departed this earthly life on Dec. 16. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Roland Kinsey; two sisters, Blanche Ann Kinsey and Louise Kinsey.

Mr. Kinsey leaves to cherish his precious memories one daughter Cheryl Kinsey of Springhill and four sons , Roosevelt Kinsey, III (Keyneetra) of Ringgold, Rodney Ary (Tiko) of Baton Rouge, LA, Dedrick Sterling of Lima, OH, and Remington Sterling of Minden, LA; sixteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Lewis Moreland of Sibley, LA; two sisters, Lois Kinsey Brodus (Ambrose) of San Diego, CA and Barbara Kinsey Nemacheck (Brooks) of Phoneix, AR; daughter-in-law, Tracy Sterling of Little Rock, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 22 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. with family hour from 6 until 7 p.m. in Kennon’s Mortuary Chapel.
