Fields honored at retirement celebration

Wanda White Fields was honored by Minden Presbyterian Church with a reception celebrating her retirement after 41 years of dedicated service.

The reception was held at the home of Frances Irving on Sunday, Feb. 2.

Fields was presented a proclamation by Mayor Tommy Davis commending and applauding her accomplishments as chief organizational officer, chief financial officer, publisher and scheduler as well as in numerous other capacities.

She was also presented a proclamation from the current pastor, the Rev. Tony Angell on behalf of Rep. Gene Reynolds and the Louisiana House of Representatives.

Mrs. Fields consistently assisted seven pastors in addition to the Rev. Angell: the late Rev. Jack Kennedy, the Rev. Floyd Whatley, the Rev. Lee Grisso, the Rev. Bob Early, the Rev. Don Brown, the Rev. Gary Miller and the Rev. Phil McLarty.
