Young people from across Webster Parish gathered for 4-H Fun Day at the Minden Recreation Center, where games, hands-on activities, and educational opportunities filled the day.
The event welcomed numerous fourth- through sixth-grade 4-H members, many of whom participated in activities focused on agriculture, wildlife, and natural resources while also enjoying recreational games and time with friends.
In addition to the entertainment, organizers incorporated educational experiences designed to introduce youth to topics commonly explored through the 4-H program. Participants learned about livestock, plant identification, and wildlife through interactive discussions and demonstrations.

The program highlighted the variety of opportunities available through 4-H for students interested in plants, animals, agriculture, and wildlife-related activities.
A separate Livestock Interest Day was also held Saturday, May 9, at the Webster Parish fairgrounds for youth interested in showing livestock.
Following the event, Webster 4-H shared a message of appreciation to those who attended.
“We extend our gratitude to all who attended Livestock Interest Day,” said John Monzingo.
Individuals interested in showing livestock in Webster Parish are encouraged to contact the Extension Office at 318-371-1371 for additional information.
