Springhill, LA – Louisiana Main Street is now accepting applications for the 2025–2026 Main Street Restoration Grant, a competitive funding opportunity designed to assist with the restoration and revitalization of historic commercial buildings located within official Main Street districts—including Springhill.
Eligible applicants include commercial property owners and business owners located within the Springhill Main Street district. Grant awards will range from $2,500 to $10,000 and may be used for both interior and exterior restoration projects.
The application deadline is Friday, May 30, 2025.
To date, Springhill Main Street has secured over $50,000 through this program, fueling more than $137,000 in local revitalization efforts, including building improvements, job creation, and long-term economic development. This year’s grant cycle is another exciting opportunity to continue that momentum—and at least one project from Springhill is expected to be funded, provided all eligibility criteria are met.
To qualify, buildings must:
- Be located within the Springhill Main Street district
- Be at least 50 years old
- Be used for commercial purposes
- Meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation
- Receive approval from both Louisiana Main Street and the local historic district commission (for exterior work)
