22 Hands Up to host NLTCC tour for youth on June 2

by Amber McDown

Local nonprofit 22 Hands Up will host a free tour of Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College (NLTCC) for youth ages 11-18 on June 2 beginning at 10 AM. The event, designed to introduce young people to educational and career opportunities, will also feature food, fellowship, and fun activities. Parents and guardians are welcome to attend.

The event will give students the opportunity to explore NLTCC’s campus, meet faculty members, and learn about available academic programs and hands-on training.

“Come experience what NLTCC has to offer, from exciting programs to hands-on learning and real campus life,” said Darrell Hampton, executive director of 22 Hands Up. “This is your chance to walk the halls, meet faculty, and dream big about your future!”

22 Hands Up is dedicated to assisting youth by fostering prosocial behavior, promoting strong interpersonal skills, and offering resources for education, employment, and empowerment.

Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College is a public institution that offers associate degrees, technical diplomas, and certificates in academic and workforce programs, preparing students to succeed in a global job market.

To sign up for the June 2 tour, contact Darrell Hampton at (318) 268-2223.
