SPRINGHILL, LA — The Springhill-North Webster Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the Grand Opening Celebration of Ed’s Chicken Shack, located at 910 South Arkansas Street — better known to locals as Chicken Corner. The celebration will take place on Friday, August 1, at 10:00 a.m. and promises to be a finger-lickin’ good time.
Owner Ed Bankhead will be firing up the fryers and serving up his famous fried chicken, accompanied by a full spread of Southern staple sides. Guests can enjoy everything from mashed potatoes and rice & gravy to string beans, coleslaw, greens, okra, and tater logs — all served with a side of Mama’s fresh-baked cornbread and biscuits.
