The Village of Dixie Inn Council will hold a workshop and special meeting Tuesday, October 20, to discuss and consider plans for this year’s Christmas on the Bayou celebration.
The workshop will begin at 4 PM at Village Hall, 60 Shell Street, with Christmas on the Bayou listed as the topic of discussion.
A special meeting will follow at 4:45 PM, during which council members will consider several expenditures and arrangements for the holiday event.
Among the items on the agenda is approval for a one-time fireworks display during Christmas on the Bayou. The council will also consider approving a budget for the celebration, hiring a band to provide entertainment, and contracting an electrician to complete wiring needed for the event.
Both meetings are open to the public.
