Construction on the new Doyline Branch of the Webster Parish Library System is approaching its final stages, with completion estimated by October 16, 2025. While that date does not mark the official opening, a grand opening celebration is in the works, though no date has been announced.
Interior work is currently underway following the recent installation of the building’s air conditioning system.
Plans for the new facility were first announced in April 2022. Testament Construction is overseeing the project and has implemented schedule adjustments that moved up the building’s Pre-Engineered Metal Building delivery to March 4, 2025. This revision accelerated the projected completion from the original January 2026 estimate to the current mid-October target.
Earlier phases of construction included groundwork not dependent on the building’s structural delivery, such as site preparation and parking lot installation.
Library officials say the new facility will serve as a modern resource hub for the Village of Doyline, offering expanded services and updated amenities. An official opening date will be announced once construction is complete and the building is ready to welcome the public.
