by Minden Press-Herald

Four individuals were arrested on July 30 following a disturbance at the Walmart on Homer Road that began inside the store and continued into the parking lot.

Minden Police were dispatched to the scene around 8:30 PM after reports of a disturbance involving multiple individuals. Upon arrival, officers found a white Camaro parked in the middle of the driving lane near the entrance, with several people involved in a verbal altercation. Officers detained four individuals to de-escalate the situation and investigate further.

According to police, the incident began when one individual, identified as 18-year-old Jatravion Rogers, allegedly pulled another individual’s hair inside the store. The altercation escalated outside, where Rogers reportedly threw golf ball-sized rocks that struck two others in the leg.

Despite efforts by law enforcement to calm the group, the disturbance continued, drawing the attention of other shoppers.

Rogers was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace, simple battery, and two counts of aggravated battery. Latonya Carter and Zeniya Carter were arrested for disturbing the peace. Devon Porter, 18, was also arrested for disturbing the peace.

All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
