Springhill woman arrested on felony theft charge

A Springhill woman was arrested Monday on a felony theft warrant after stealing a debit card, according to the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said 29-year-old Erica Marie Hafer-Sedar was taken into custody on August 18. During a recorded interview, Hafer-Sedar admitted she had taken a Bonvenu Bank debit card without permission from a 75-year-old Springhill man.

Authorities said the card was then used to make purchases exceeding $2,000.

Hafer-Sedar was booked into the Webster Parish Jail on the felony theft charge.

All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
