Webster Parish Registrar of Voters Angela Hall is joining Louisiana Secretary of State Nancy Landry and registrars across the state this week in promoting Voter Registration Week, which runs August 25-29.
Louisiana residents who are not currently registered to vote are encouraged to do so. U.S. citizens with a valid Louisiana driver’s license or Special ID card can register online anytime at www.GeauxVote.com.
Residents may also register in person at the Webster Parish Registrar of Voters Office, located at 410 Main Street, Room 101, in Minden. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with phone service available beginning at 8 AM at 318-377-9272. Registration is also available when applying for or renewing a driver’s license at any Office of Motor Vehicles, at public assistance agencies, or at Armed Forces recruitment offices.
Citizens wishing to register by mail can download an application from www.GeauxVote.com or obtain forms at public libraries and voter registration drives.
Local registration events are scheduled this week at:
- Willie & Mary Mack Memorial Library, 1000 S. Arkansas Street, Springhill, Wednesday, August 27, from 11:30 AM to 3 PM.
- Minden Library, 521 East & West Street, Minden, Thursday, August 28, from 1 PM to 4 PM.
The Registrar’s Office will also distribute voter registration information at Webster Parish libraries, high schools and nursing homes throughout the week.
