Central Elementary teacher honored as Employee of the Month

by Amber McDown

Vickie Ramie, a third-grade math teacher at Central Elementary School, was recognized as the Webster Parish School Board’s Employee of the Month for September during the board’s meeting September 8.

The honor was presented by Tiffany Govan of Taylor and Sons, who praised Ramie for her dedication to students.

Daniel Lee, principal of Central Elementary, recommended Ramie for the award, noting her dependability and professionalism.

“Ms. Ramie exemplifies professionalism. She is punctual, rarely absent, and dependable. Year after year, Ms. Ramie comes to work and gives her best to educate the third-grade students. She does whatever is asked of her without complaint even if it requires her giving up her own time,” Lee wrote. “Her steadfastness and dedication to the students of Central Elementary are a testament to her professionalism and character. It has truly been a pleasure for everyone to work with her over the last eight years.”

Govan added her own remarks of appreciation, saying, “I just want to say that — as a mother of three — I truly appreciate your sacrifice and all that you do for the students.”

Taylor and Sons graciously presents an Employee of the Month plaque during each regular meeting of  the Webster Parish School Board.
